Glenville Ashby is a psychotherapist and author of several acclaimed books. He is also the recipient of the Literary Titan Award for Anam Cara: Your Soul Friend and Bridge to Enlightenment and Creativity. Of this work, publisher Thomas Anderson wrote, “Ashby’s book deserves extraordinary praise, and we are proud to acknowledge his hardwork, dedication, and imagination.” In 2003, Ashby was recognized for his contribution to philosophy by Plessey Castle Academic in Northumberland, England. Alex H. Parker, the dean of the institute referred to Ashby’s submission on comparative religion as “an insightful and thorough piece of work and the best I have received to date.” The material has since been included in the school’s Library of Philosophy Autodidact Syndicate.

Ashby’s 2022 book, Finding Mother: Practical Spirituality East and West, was called “an extraordinary guide to understanding spirituality” by Leonard Smuts of Readers’ Favorite.

Ashby received his undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of the West Indies and Euclid University. He completed his professional studies at the London School of Journalism, the International School for Applied Psychoanalysis in France, and the California-based Institute for Advanced Psychological Studies.

Ashby has received spiritual guidance from teachers in Asia, Africa, South America, the Caribbean,and Europe.

In 2023, Ashby received a series of Tantric empowerments from H.E. 13th Kyabje Daknak Rinpoche at Segyu Gaden Phodrang and the Life Entrustment Initiation (Sogtae)from H.E. Gyara Rinpoche in Nepal.
